(7) Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

(24) For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].

Think about it; too much alcohol, we get Hangover like Gosh... How does it feel? TERRIBLE!
Ciggy? Bad breath, Heavy Breathing, Headaches, Lung Cancers (Too name a few)
Drugs - Never tried. But probably Overdosed, Death?
Food? Fat, Cholesterol, Obesity, Heart Failure, yada yada yada.
What about if we try to find God instead? Let me tell you,
1. Peace
2. Happiness
3. Light weight (no burdens)
These are a few of things I felt. I don't know what all of you receive in return from God. It is a personal thing. And Yes what you asked is fulfilled by God Himself!
Psalm 37:7 - We have seen a lot of people succeeding in their life with a flick of their fingers right? Let's say Mark Zuckerberg with Facebook, Bam he became the youngest billionaire. Why can't we be like him? right?
Hey let me tell you this; there a lot of "Things" out there that will give you instant things. If you have watched "End of Days" at the beginning of the scene, where a mother cry out to give everything she can to save her daughter; a doorbell came instantly and yes Satan was there and granting her wish. (For the rest of the story, watch the movie :))
So yeah; I know a couple of stuffs like this. And hey yes you can get it easily. Coming from Asia, where Mysticism is still popular and talk of the societies; a lot of people may perform some ritual sacrifices, go to a "Guru", yada yada yada to get instant rewards.
They can't be bothered to wait patiently. Have you ever realized that there is always a meaning in our life, that everything happens according to His plan? If you have not receive what you desire, maybe He wants you to wait. It may not be the right time for you Yet! Please don't look for a shortcut. Even in Buddhism, there are 2 ways in life; a shortcut (Full of Happiness, Lavish, yada yada yada) and a long path ( Full of despairs, Trials, yada yada yada). Though the shortcut may give you delightful stuffs but it is for the time being; but the longer path will give you eternal delights.
Keep praying and God shall answer you for everything you asked for.
Related with the next verse given, Mark 11:24, when you believe, have faith, and be confident that what you asked for have been granted by God, you will get it. So have faith while waiting. Believe that everything has been granted and you will receive it.

Father, teach me to have patience in my heart; For whatever reason, let me lean more on You Father; I shall look up upon You at all times; No matter I'm in Despair or Happiness. Amen
