(44) For they all threw in out of their abundance; but she, out of her deep poverty, has put in everything that she had--[even] all she had on which to live.

Contemplating

What matters in this passage?

• Our Heart 
• Our Reliance 

That is all. It is very much easy to give when you have things in abundance. As mentioned on verse 43 and 44, the old widow is poor; giving only all the money she had. This is what God sees. God never look with human eyes; but He looks with His eyes. He sees the Heart, the Willingness of people to give.


It is not easy to give when you can't give. God wants you to give like so. He ensures us as well that we will receive more as written in Matthew 19:27-30. Then remember that God takes care even the birds, grass on earth. Don't worry; He will take care of us as well. But remember; We have to do our part and do it right.

Taking Action

God give me the heart of the widow; to give and be willing to in all times. Let me rely more on You rather than myself or others; because I believe You will be there for me. Amen.
