Readings:
Psalm 11

My Golden Verse: Matthew 12:7

Accepting
Matthew 12:7

(7) And if you had only known what this saying means, I desire mercy [readiness to help, to spare, to forgive] rather than sacrifice and sacrificial victims, you would not have condemned the guiltless.

Contemplating
Background story here, Jesus and His Disciples went through a field full of standing grains and that was on a Sabbath day and started munching them on (They were starving!). And when the Pharisees saw it, they start telling Jesus about what His Disciples did and judging that they broke the rules of Sabbath.

Let us start the journal, Pharisees here were talking about religion - where they think that following 'it' is the only way to God.As if that you get 100% on a test. But Jesus said that God wanted your heart and mercy not sacrificial items or offerings.
Shame on those who thinks as such. Ex: Like the movie - The Blind Side where everyone was saying that Leigh Anne Tuohy adopting "Big Mike" was another act of charity and yada yada yada. (If you haven't watch that movie, WATCH IT!)

Prepare our Heart to be merciful upon others and give it for our Heavenly Father. That is what He seeks and not other things. Relationships are worth more for Him other than our Offerings!

Taking Action

Lord, I give my heart to You to be merciful upon others so that I may serve You through others. Delete all that is the root of evil in me Lord.

End of my W2D7.

God Bless,

SS675,
I'm a Growing Weed!
