Matthew 16:24

(24) Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself [disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [ cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying, also].

Contemplating

This GV just tells me that life is not about us anymore, it is about God. His interest goes on top of ours. As written in "The Purpose Driven Life - by Rick Warren" on chapter 1 itself, he wrote that we are born for His purpose so it was never about us any way.

What is there in our life now then? is it our career, success, family, yada yada yada? Well it ain't wrong having those desires. But what are our Foundations of life? Will we be satisfied with those? There have been numerous stories where people crumble after pursuing their "Flesh Goals" and then they regret.

Remember Abraham? did he live for himself? if yes, why did he even bother to bring Isaac to sacrifice him? Yes it was a great story of Faith. We all know what happened to Abraham... He lives a rich life after that and God blesses him throughout his life and his many generations after. Why? Simple, Abraham lived for God, by doing what God asked him to do and in return, he was blessed.

Taking Action
God, I surrender all my interests, desires, and life to You. Teach me O' Lord, to put You above everything else.

End of my W3D7.

God Bless,
